Should I Upgrade from 235 to 245?

Hello!

I have the Garmin's 235 which I bought 4 years ago. I am using it as my daily watch (beyond sport). For a long time, the up arrow button doesn't work for me (which means I cannot do any sport apart from running), and the watch Is way beyond the warranty. The price the lab asked for fixing it is ~40% of buying a new watch - so I decided to either continue with it or buy the 245.

It is not super critical for me at the moment and I have no problem waiting in case there is a forecast for a new forerunner the may be released in the next couple of months? (245 successors?)

Do you know anything about it?

Nobody here knows. If they do know, then they are bound by non-disclosure agreement. Garmin never intentionally shares upcoming plans regarding release of new products. We can only speculate here. You can search the forum for "Forerunner 955" or "Fenix 7" if you want to see what other forum members are guessing.

I do not think a 2xx will be coming up for the next 2-3 years. Probably other 6xx, 7xx or 9xx since 245 is about 1 and half year old and the previous 23x was just about 5 years.

I upgraded to the 245 from the 235 just last year and haven't had any regrets. I find the 245 outclasses my old 235 in every way (comfort, usability, functionality, you name it).

Me too. Upgraded June 2019. Huge improvement and delighted.

255 could be end of this year, or next year but expect a price bump and also the first 8 weeks of most new Garmin products are hard to get. Supply limited and sell out very quickly, I was on a waiting list.
