Remove vibration notification from widget

Dear forumers,

I have just bought for my friend a Forerunner 245 Music. She's very happy with it but just one thing that we cannot find a solution.

We would like to remove the vibration for the notification of whatsapp/sms that she receive, we find something in the menu system but to remove all vibration, but for this widget, it's doesn't work :(. Have you got another idea instead of removing the widget ?

    You can turn off notifications for whatsapp through the garmin connect app. In the app go to settings, then notifications, then app notifications then switch off the toggle for whatsapp or any other app you don't want to get notifications for.

    Hello Raphael, it depends on what you want to do. If you want to not receive Whatsapp notifications, the poster above is correct you can isolate removing the notification. If you would like to remove the vibration itself whenever you receive smart notifications; from the time and date screen hold the middle left button, scroll to phone, then scroll to smart notifications, select either during or not during activity, and then select sounds and you can set it to tone (ie; beep), vibrate, both, or silent.

    When I go into the Garmin connect app, and follow as guided (settings, notifications), I only have 2 options: push notifications (to recieve on my phone), and email notifications. I do not have any options for whatsapp, although i do get notifications on my Garmin whenever I recieve a Whatsapp.

    Push notifications are all the notifications from Garmin , see the list on the >

    EMails are specific Garmin emails , see the list if you click on the >

    I think the instructions above are now very old and the app has been updated many times.

    Choose Device then Notifications > Smart Notifications  to toggle on phone notifications and calls to the device

    If you are iPhone there is a way to choose which notifications are sent on to the other device (such as the Garmin), I would imagine Android is also chooseable. This will be in the notifications settings on your phone.
