  • Actually it was promised to come to the 245 in a previous posting in another thread (the sleep widget). So it is a bit odd that at least at this point it’s very much unclear if it will at all. I think it’s reasonable to ask if that plan has changed.

  • Actually it was promised to come to the 245 in a previous posting in another thread

Plans and intentions change. There was never a promise.  The only people that can claim that are the 745 owners since it was advertised as having the feature when purchased.  There are definitely a lot of people who loosely define the word promise on these forums.

  • Definitely arguing in semantics here. When a garmin moderator says the plan is to have the garmin sleep widget come to a specific device and at least up to this point it appears that may not be the case, I think it’s fair to ask if the plan has changed. As the person you were responding to was doing.

  • I never said it wasn't a fair question.  I thought it was an absolutely ridiculous question to ask 2 hrs after the Garmin rep said they would forward the info to the development team making any of the 4 questions moot.  You see things differently?  You too expected an answer right then?  And it's not semantics.  If I say I'm going to cut your grass this weekend and I don't, I didn't break a promise.  If I guaranteed you I would cut your grass by declaration and assurance that it would be done, then you have an argument.  That never took place.  You can't change the definition of words or call it semantics just because you think it fits your cause. You can try as you are, but it doesn't change anything.  When a business makes an official promise to their customers about a product, they are legally bound.  There is no doubt that the Garmin reps here on the forum are here to help and pass on information that they hear.  I guarantee you, they'll be the first to say that they're in no position to guarantee or promise anything from the company.  This is common sense, but common sense goes out the window if someone really wants something and then they say see, "Garmin" promised.

  • When and where are the Daily Suggested Workouts prompts supposed to show up? I have them enabled, but have so far not seen any prompts. I also don't see the suggested workouts in my calendar widget (I have no other workouts scheduled which might interfere). I do get suggested workouts, but I have to dig down in the Run > Training > Workouts menu to reach them.

  • Mine shows when I click to start a run activity. It's there almost as a pre-selected workout.

It's also in the calendar notifications where the weather, phone notifications, steps and whatever other widgets you have active are.

  • That's how I imagined it would work, but for some reason it didn't. However, I just found a post on the 945 forum from someone with the same problem, and followed the steps that solved it for them: Add a manual workout to the calendar, sync, remove the workout, sync again. Now I see today's suggested workout in my calendar, and get a prompt when I go to start a run activity! Let's hope I don't have to go through the same steps every day. Slight smile

  • I already updated 3 times but the watch still says 6.20... grrr..

Was hoping Lactate threshold but ... I also miss the sleep widget. Lol.

Let's pray it comes when it goes live

  • I’m at a loss as to what you’re going off the rails about. My example was the same as your silly grass cutting story. The plan was for something to happen and it didn’t. Wouldn’t that person whose grass you didn’t cut ask hey I know you said you were going to cut the grass but didn’t, do you think you’ll still be able to do it at some point?  I didn’t realize that unless it’s a contractual obligation to do something, no person should expect another person to do anything apparently, even after they say they will do it lol. Beyond that please stop laying into people on the forum for asking questions. It serves no purpose whatsoever.

  • Have you put each of the two files in the correct folders? That was at least for me the solution as I had forgotten one file.
