Audio prompts - average pace for WHOLE run so far...

So I need:

Last Lap pace
Average pace for whole run so far eg just completed 5km and average pace so far is 5mins p/km.

I have chosen audio prompts, lap pace and average pace/speed. But the average pace still only says the same as the last lap pace I have just done. I want the average pace of the WHOLE run so far.

Can anybody help? It's driving me nuts.

I was wondering about this too.

Finally worked it out... In the Garmin Connect app, for the device settings,go into activity options, then audio prompts, "Pace or Speed Alerts", make sure the slider indicates it's on, then select "Average pace or speed" and the lap frequency set to 'lap'.

Every lap (set to every mile for me) it broadcasts the distance, the pace for that mile and the average pace for the whole run.

Oh, just re-read your message... Sounds like you've done the same but it's not working....

It broadcasts two different paces for me.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have since worked out what it was. I had my audio prompt settings setup directly through my watch. I didn't know you could do the audio settings through the Connect app until you suggested below. So I went to the settings in the app and they were set up as they were on my watch.....BUT...I noticed on the app that I also had "On Device Alerts" set to ON. I turned this off. Went for a run and now it works, giving me audio prompts on average pace for the whole run and also the lap pace. The only thing I can think of, even though the settings were correct (the same) on both the watch and the app, the fact that I had the "On device alerts" set to on on the app they must have been fighting against each other in some way and resulted in wrong prompts coming through. So, indirectly you have helped me a lot by pointing me towards the setup on the app! Thanks very much!
