Switch from fitbit to garmin - data & activity upload

I switched from fitbit charge 3 to garmin 425 for the gps capability and better data collection but im having difficulty transferring data over.

I've downloaded my data from fitbit as .csv and tried to upload it however it said that an error occured and to try later. I try doing it later and that hasnt helped either.

Alsp, I've done a run and a row now using the garmin as my tracker. This correctly uploaded to garmin and strava however the other 90 days which it said it would take from strava that it would import hasnt uploaded after my first activities on the forerunner.

Anyone know how to fix this? All the system statuses have been fine.

    The only thing you might be able to upload are activities but the rest you straight up can’t.

    Don't download as a .csv but instead download as Excel (.xls) format.  It will transfer over all your steps etc but any activities where you used GPS have to be exported as .gpx or .tcx and imported that way.  I did exactly the same when I moved from Fitbit to Garmn.
