Forerunner 245 music - traning session dry run

Hi,

I'm new to Garmin watches.

In a nice article Training with Garmin Coach it was described how someone can simulate progress through the workout:

"Then often do a dry run – allowing the watch to go through the stages of each workout on its own, while I was making dinner or walking the dogs.
This meant I could see what was required and what buttons I’d have to press when out running. Any dry or trial runs can be discarded so Garmin
Coach doesn’t log or count them.
      "

I'm not sure, but think I saw "Dry running" once but now I don't see it. Do I miss something?
Can someone reference an official Garmin documentation regarding dry/trail run simulation mode described above.

Thanks

  • There is no such thing is "Dry running" on the watch. What the description says is to start normal running workout on the watch, but without actually running. After the activity just discard it. Other than that, there is no simulation mode.
