Indoor Cycling: Heart Rate Flat After Version 5.60

Hi all,

Ever since the pandemic, I've been cycling indoor using my stationary bike. I had no experienced any issues with my wrist heart rate monitor until I updated my Garmin software to v 5.60 several weeks ago. My usual average heart rate for indoor cycling should be 110-125 bpm (maximum would be 160) but now it only registers between 65 - 75 bpm! No matter how hard I cycle or how low the gear is, it won't go beyond 80 bpm... It has put a damper on my cycling workout and I have no idea how much training effect is achieved now.

I tried many things from adjusting my watch fit from tight to somewhat loose, using normal mode instead of workout mode.

There are no issues with the heart rate monitor when I go on my runs though. Hence, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I'm not sure if anyone else is experiencing this issue. What should I do?
