Bike not recording distance despite being connected to gps

I went out for a ride today. The timer and gps worked but it did not record my distance. Showed 0 all the way through the ride. Tried resetting the watch to no avail.
many help would be appreciated. Regards. Kev

This happened to me today too for the first time. Running version 7.8 currently on my watch
