245M and Body Bike ANT+ connectivity issues

Hi,

So, I tried to connect to a Body Bike Connect spinning bike,last week and this week during a class with no success.

I keep pedaling and going through the menu to connect to a new sensor, it searches and it says no sensors were found.

I am using my HRM-Dual without any issues, watch is on version 5.50. Tried restarting and still couldn't find the bike.

Adding in here that today a classmate came with something I belive was the higher end Garmin watch but a few years old, that one could find and connect to the bike with no issues. I kept searching straight after this and found nothing. The bike is all good, also tried two more bikes to make sure the bike was not bad with no success either.

Not sure what I can do now?

Please advice if anyone has a good idea

According to the description in the ANT+ directory, this bike transmits data via the ANT+ bike power profile, and the 245 does not support it.

When I check the page you shared it shows that the FR245 and FR245M are compatible with the bike.

Where do you see that they are not?

They are shown as compatible because, the watch can transmit heart rate data to the bike. It cannot, though, receive power data from the bike.

I just checked this on the product page and compared to a higher end model.. And indeed, you are right. It does not support power measurement.

Might upgrade to FR745 or try with 3rd party app...
