Turn notifications dissapering (trail running navigation)

Hi everyone,

During my trail runs with active navigation of a course created in Connect I have noticed that my Forerunner 254 stops showing me turn direction notifications on the bottom of the screen. Instead a permanent chequered flag icon appears with distance remaining next to it and it remains like that until the end of course.

The course is still active and I can follow the trail on map screen but the turn notifications are gone. Thus I need to pay much more attention to the watch and I have to keep it on map screen or I will miss the turn. I even tryed stoping the course and starting it again but the problem remained.

Any ideas as to what might be the cause of this and how to solve it?

I've expercienced a similar issue from time to time, however not with a "trail" profile but regular running.

It is somehow intermittent, however I'm nog using navigation much so can't provide any details to reproduce nor to solve.

I've the feeling this occurs when manipulating the watch while running.

Hi MD and thanks for the answer.

I`m not sure if it is the cause but I have seen it happening (more often and earlier in the run) after I have been "Off course" for a while (shortcuts, detours or missing the turn).
