Does adding HRM PRO strap give running power data to 245 watch?

Was looking at getting a heart rate monitor and saw somewhere that it can add power but not sure if it works with 245 for that? If not why and would I need to buy a stryd to get that data on my 245? If that is the case what would be benefit in buying a HRM pro over a Polar H10. Thanks for any info.

Just to expand on this, Calculation Method for Garmin's Running Power Connect IQ Apps

The Forerunner 245 lacking a barometric altimeter would be unable to calculate instant elevation, for potential power, or air power, (the resistance or assistance given based on the direction of the wind).

But it could provide an estimated power for review on Connect.

Personally, I dont need power displayed on device - but I would like to see some data after - even rough estimates - as a metric to track for improvement through segments or courses.
