Time to get GPS ready has increased crucially and accuracy of GPS has decreased

Hi guys!

I have been having a Forerunner 245 Music for three weeks.
I run every day with it. Usually it took several seconds to get the GPS ready. Beginning from October 11 (day before yesterday) it takes several minutes to get it ready. Also it looks like the GPS has become not accurate. What could be a problem?
I didn't change any settings.
Software version is 5.00 ( 561bc83 )

Sync it a few times with Garmin Express (for PC), that's what solved my issue. Before, it took almost 3 entire minutes for the GPS to lock on, now it's just 3-5 seconds.

Thanks a lot.
It helped partly. Now the GPS gets ready for about 40 - 60 seconds.
I am just wondering why the first three weeks after purchasing it took only several seconds for GPS to find satellites and get ready.

Your EPO file was most likely out of date. Connecting it to Express updates the file.

Also, try a soft reset. helped me greatly, especially after a FW update. Hold the light button till it reboots.

I had a similar issue. Wife and I have the same watch, used to be very fast (1 min-ish) for months. mid-october suddenly got 5+ min to acquire gps (both of us!). Somehow seems to have resolved itself by "magic" now. Not sure what helped.

I now sync with garmin connect app on phone before heading out on a run and it seems to be back to what it was a few months ago

Hi guys!
Looks like my watch works more or less good now. Every day before going to run I synchronize my watch using wi-fi. Now it takes around 15-30 seconds to get the GPS ready.
