FR 245 music - HRM very inaccurate during run. Consequently the other performance data is very unhelpful even discouraging. Watch still under warranty so thinking of returning for replacement as I don’t feel the HRM is fit for purpose. Please advise?

  • Wrist based is never accurate. You should get a chest strap. Not very expensive nowadays.

Thanks! I don’t need it to be spot on, that’s why opted for the wrist based which was more expensive for the unit itself. I could have got a basic and bought the chest strap but I’m not elite by any means, I wanted the music feature but it’s miles out. Hopping from 134 to 165 and back again - it takes much longer than the gps to lock in when starting out, and then it’s wacky. Makes the adaptive training plans and all totally redundant too as it’s taking wildly inaccurate data.
