Yoga Improvements - Garmin 245

Hi !

Is it normal that while doing Yoga I have to manually click on my watch when moving through poses? Its so annoying because if I dont do that my workout, it says I only did 1 pose?

Is there no way to change this? or for the Garmin 245 to be able to pick up poses automatically? If not - how do I remove the fact that it only records 1 pose throughout the entire workout?

I called in but the agent was so unhelpful, he promised he would have someone give me a call back, but I have not heard back from him.

Thanks

  • Is it to hard to press a button between the poses? I find it is ok this way.

But wat you can do is to make a own yoga training with your positions, upload it to the watch and start the training there. But then you have to follow the steps/positions.

For this, open the app and go to trainings. Then make your own training. Or search a training there. You find some Yoga workouts there (open it, save it to your trainings and then sync to the watch by pressing the sync button on top). After this, open yoga on your watch. Press the middle left button for options and go to trainings to find your uploaded workout...

Maybe you tried already. If not, this could be a solution if you know your poses before you start....

  • Much of yoga has top do with moving through postures.  Like salutation to the sun.  You can be going through this for an hour with no chance to fiddle with a watch.

  • I purchased my Garmin late 2021 and have found the same issue. I just leave it alone and let it think I did one pose. There is no way I am going to push a button to note that my body is moving, when I feel the watch should pick up that movement.

, yes, yes it is that annoying and hard.  You're doing poses moving from chaturanga to an updog to a downdog to tabletop to calfcow, all poses on knees and hands. Picking up one hand to push on the other wrist is not something one can easily do.
