Custom HR alerts don't work

When a custom HR alert is set under the Running activity, the watch does not beep. It worked for a while, but I think after an update a month back, it stopped working. However, this same function works quite well in Cycling and Cardio.

Any troubleshooting I can do before sending it to the service center?

I think custom alerts do not work when you do a training. At least this is what I assumed because my custom alerts did not work either when I did training. Have you tried them outside of training mode?

Actually, I have always tried outside training. Finally got it working by doing a reset on the device, deleting and adding the device in Connect and finally syncing!
