New FR245 - no GPS lock

Hi Guys,

It's on FW 4.4, and have tried deleting the CPE.BIN file twice, and re syncing with Garmin Express.

Any other suggestions?

Well, did a soft reset, and now I get a GPS lock, but it takes almost 2 minutes. This is nuts. My phone gets a GPS lock in 10 seconds, and so does my Edge bike computer.

I see that it seems to be a fairly common complaint, so no point in asking for a replacement I guess?

Well, now I sync gith Garmin connect every time, and GPS lock is between 20-60 seconds. I'll accept that.

This is worth a watch though to see why watches take longer to lock than phones.
