Training load went UP overnight with no new exercise

So I understand how training load is a sum of the last 7 days and fluctuations that happen today may be the result of activities from the last 7 days... but can anyone explain why my training load went up by ~150 overnight if I didn’t record any exercise yet today? Am I missing a simple math concept here?

    hi,

strange, the opposite would be the normal math

care to share some screenshots from Garmin Connect Web and Garmin Connect Mobile ?

    • like training load and activity list etc etc, says more than a thousand words Slight smile

did a firmware update happen overnight ?

did you start a workout just before midnight ?

did you make any changes on Garmin Connect ?

As far as I know, an update didn’t happen overnight. It was 5.00 as of my last activity (see screenshot) and is still 5.00.

I ran at around 5:30pm last night. The watch froze part way (as usual when trying to use PacePro on the 245, lol), but I restarted the watch during my run and it was able to resume the activity, though it didn’t get a GPS lock for a long time (see the long, straight line sort of parallel to the actual road I was on).

As soon as I woke up this morning, I noticed it was much higher on the app and on the watch widget than it was last night after my run.

    hi,

    thank your the feedback Thumbsup

call it a one off ?

could be related to the crash

could be related to the indoor activity without distance

talking about the dots on the training load graph

    • do the last ones correspond with actual activities ?

looking at the training status widget on the watch, any guess where it added the 150, low mid or high ?

what does Garmin Connect Web say comparing phone and watch

Garmin connect Mobile shows only synced data from Garmin Connect Web, sort of Slight smile

    hi,

every fit file contains the training load

you can try and upload your fit file here and search for it... fit2tcx.runalyze.com

    • mind you, the fit file get's stored for a while and you could save the url for later analysis or save the result as a text file !

example fit file is from a fenix 6 !

    • upload and look for number=140
    • where line xxx37 contains a value to be deviced by 65536 and rounded gives your training load

    this one here is TL214

or look for number=18 (same uploaded fit file)

where line xxx168 contains a value to be deviced by 65536 and rounded gives your training load

    also TL214
