HRM-Tri compatibility

Does anyone know if the Data Storage feature of the HRM-Tri is compatible with the FR245M?

Also curious to know why the manual for the HRM-Run says it calculates 6 running metrics, while the manual for the HRM-Tri says it calculates only 3 running metrics.

I haven't tested it to be honest, since i always wear the FR245M and the HRM-Pro at the same time. I did however notice the HRM-Pro syncs with Garmin Connect even without wearing the watch.

I'm not sure why the TRI manual only shows 3 metrics (I don't even recall getting a manual with my strap), but it has the same 6 as the RUN.

Thanks for the fast reply! I read the information in the online manual. Do you happen to use the Tri with the FR245? I personally don't plan to use it for swimming, however the data storage feature sounds useful when not being able to wear the watch or when the connection is lost.
