Garmin personal records and Stryd foot pod

Hello,

I run now with a Stryd foot pod and I have set my watch so that the distance and pace always come from the pod.

I have noticed a change in the way the Garmin personal records are calculated after saving an activity.
Before I used a Stryd foot pod, the watch was researching the fastest segment for each distance to establish a personal record.
But now for my last successful 5 km attempt with a Stryd foot pod, I am surprised that the pace of my record is higher than the one of my activity (4:18 vs 4:14 as shown on the picture). My activity was a little over 5 km (just to finish exactly 2 loops) but it seems that my Forerunner now only check the total time of the activity and not the fastest 5 km segment in it.

My previous record was from end May 2020, I also did 5,08 km but my record was set on the fastest 5 km segment. I don't think there was a change of firmware that can explain the difference.

Is this intented ?
I am disappointed by this behaviour even though I prefer it on official half marathons or marathons.
