You'll miss out on a few metrics / features geared towards running, but you'll have to decide how important those few are to you. I hope this helps.

It all depends on what metrics / features the individual finds important to them. Even as a casual runner, I find the barometer, maps, training load focus, lactate threshold and the HRV stress test with a strap valuable in my training that I get with my 945. The other additional features on the 945 I don't need.
