Runners that switched from 645

Didn't find anything in the ToS that mentioned I couldn't ask this type of question so here it is :

I'm still using an old (+/- 2013) Timex GPS watch that is starting to have gps issues and I want to treat myself with something better than an entry level gps watch.

Upon searching and reading reviews I've come to the conclusion that the FR245 was the best choice for me. Actually the FR245M simply because of the wifi activity auto upload (I hate dealing with Bluetooth and always keep it off on my phone). Oh and by the way, am I understanding correctly that the watch does indeed automatically upload data once I'm back home when it connects back (automatically) on my WiFi network?

Anyways, thing is I saw the FR645 (refurbished but with the same 1 year warranty as new) for 160 Cad$ lower than a new FR245, which itself is already 80 Cad$ off from its msrp.

I prefer the esthetic of the 645 and the added features of the 245 (mainly PulseOX related) are irrelevant for me since I'll never sleep with it on my wrist. So considering the 645 seems to tick all the boxes for me for a considerably lower price, would there still be a reason left to chose the 245 over it? Like a hardware or software stability/reliability reason or something else?

On the 645 forums there seems to be some complaints about both these things, but forums being what they are I thought I might ask here if some people switched to the 245 from the 645.

Thanks in advance.
