Is the Garmin Forerunner 245 left behind?

So while the Fenix 6 line has received almost 3 firmware updates / beta updates, the forerunner 245 hasn't received a single update.

Is the Forerunner 245 left behind? The Fenix 6 constantly gets new features and bug fixes (it just received an update like 15 hours ago that brings on device sleep information) while the Forerunner 245 has so many bugs and missing features... I really hope we get a new update soon that brings some new features / bug fixes.

I have a suspicion that the new sleep tracking that was just introduced as a beta for the Fenix is based on Firstbeat’s algorithms. Can’t be sure but they are introducing thing like sleep quality meassurements.

I have no idea what your reply to me has anything to do with what I said. What does your personal feelings about how well or poorly Garmin's sleep tracking have anything to do with the 245 receiving new features?

It's definitely from Firstbeat, the screenshots people have been posting are very similar to the examples on Firstbeats page.

Looks like. But the garmin Connect App dosent recognise it. It will not synced again Garmin.

The Xiaomi Mi Watches (not aviable in Europe) dose have the full sleep set and other cool thing - compared to the Venu/VA4 - für under 150€.

Yep, it seems Garmin is implementing the licensed algorithms which have been previously introduced on other watches, all from Suunto.

Right. But, so as i kno Garmin it will only come to the High-Price Devices and not for extra level like FR245/Venu/VA4.
They never talk about that.

Without syncing to the Garmin app or Connect its also useless.

But, what about others? I asked Garmin just that. Right now the plan is for it to come to all Garmin Fenix 6 & MARQ variants (beta already for that here), and then by the end of the year the Forerunner 945 will also get it. Hopefully we’ll see it expand more broadly than that. Given Polar has it on their $199 Polar Ignite, I’d think this would fit well on anything in the Venu & Vivoactive lineup, plus of course the Forerunner 245 series.

By posting this link to this thread topic, are you insinuating that the 245 has been left behind because Garmin decided to release this new feature to their $500+ models?
