Lactate threshold - new feature?

I've read that garmin calculates lactate threshold via firstbeat method that uses all the data available on the 245 model (heart rate, pace,...) Do you think it's possible to expect it in the future update, as all other brands are implementing it in the budget models? It would be a nice add on for a bit more serious use of heart rate zones...

  • Lactate threshold and Garmin Pay was what differentiated the 645 from the 245. Unfortunately the 645 never got any of the feature updates the 245 and 945 received over the past couple of years, so the 245 is now a better buy if your bank does not support Garmin Pay or you do not care for it.

Considering the 645 is now effectively discontinued, and there is no imminent release of a 255, maybe Garmin should update the 245 with lactate threshold capabilities, but everyone is still waiting for the promised sleep update, so chances of that happening is very slim.
