Garmin foot pod and Curved Manual Treadmill - Zwift

Hi,

I'm considering getting a Curved manual treadmill. Something like the Air Runner. Idea is to use the treadmill in conjunction with Zwift training software.

If the treadmill I end up buying does not transmit Bluetooth or ANT+ speed. I will need to get the speed data to Zwift from a foot pod or HRM.

Options are:

  • HRM-RUN/TRI (I have this already)
  • Stryd Power Foot Pod
  • Garmin Foot Pod (Old version that connects to shoe) I have this already.
  • Wahoo tickr X

My question is which one will work? Has anyone tried?

Note: Stryd says theirs is not compatible with a manual treadmill diue to  motion of foot strike.

Thanks

Peter

  • HRM-RUN/TRI (I have this already)

These provide running dynamics, but not speed.

    Wahoo tickr X

    As above.

Stryd says theirs is not compatible with a manual treadmill diue to  motion of foot strike.

Any other footpod won't be accurate for the same reason.

  • The Wahoo tickr X does provide speed. The specs say...

    TREADMILL MODE
Special mode for tracking speed and distance data while on the treadmill

There is a review video (English reviewer) on using various foot pods on a normal treadmill with Zwift. My query is what will work on a curved manual treadmill.
