No longer connecting to Jabra elite 65t active

While these headphones have worked nicely for weeks (and still work for listening to podcasts using a smart phone), they don't connect to the Forerunner 245 since the update to 4.10. became available.

Installing the update itself didn't help
Additional reboot didn't help
Removing the headset from the Music settings didn't help
Restarting the phones didn't help.
Tried several combinations of the options above for an hour. No connection
FR245 also doesn't find any other Bluetooth headphones any more.
FR245 still connects nicely to phone, though.

I run with FR 245 and Jabra 65t elite paired with iPhone X.

After update to 4.0, the BT connection between Jabra headphones and iPhone started disconnecting and reconnecting the moment activity was started…

I have the same problem with the forerunner 945. Connection with iphone works perfectly. It would be nice to be able to find out how this can be solved.

Stefan Haslinger & charlene1981 make sure you're not connecting the 65t as a footpod. This is a known issue with these headphones as discussed here (see post from user schmolch marked as answer):

Yes, i know this is an issue, so the 65th is not connected as a footpod. Still, I can not make connection.

Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately that's not the issue over here.
Also factory reset doesn't change anything in the situation, no sensors and no headphones are currently connected at all.

After update to 4.0, the BT connection between Jabra headphones and iPhone started disconnecting and reconnecting the moment activity was started on my FR 245.

I contacted Garmin Support and received the following response:

"For the serial number you provided, it seems your device is Forerunner 245 for SEA version without Music but we are afraid it does not seem supporting Headphone. Meanwhile, please be also kindly informed Jabra Elite Active 65t is not included in the compatible headphone of FR245 for Music version listed below.

Meanwhile, I have found a workaround as follows:

1. Keep my FR 245 in Airplane On Mode

2. 'Wear' my Jabra 65t, connect to my iPhone X and start my music playlist. Jabra 65t headphones nicely connect and play

3. Wear my shoes etc and get ready for the run, while music is playing through the headphones

4. Go outside and start the run activity on my FR 245 in normal fashion, while in Airplane On mode

5. Go for the run

6. BT between headphones and iPhone hold throughout the activity and can enjoy music while running!
