Forerunner 245 Series SW 4.10 is now live

This update can be downloaded with Garmin Express or automatically with Garmin Connect Mobile. 

Change Log  4.10

  • Add new Virtual Run activity profile. This enables broadcast of speed and heart rate information to virtual running applications such as Zwift.
  • Add Widget Glances, a new way to view widget information. The option to enable is found in the Widgets menu.
  • Add Low Heart Rate to the Abnormal Heart Rate Alert feature.
  • Various improvements for battery performance.
  • Fix an issue that was causing loss of treadmill calibration data. For best results, perform an outdoor run before your first treadmill activity.
  • Miscellaneous bug fixes and improvements.

    This update hasn’t come through via the app like others. Is there something wrong?

    I am having issues with the heartrate going crazy. generally after a running-activity, but also one morning at work it was at 136, just  sitting at my desk (without excercise). My real heartrate is generally 55-65 bpm, or 80-95 a few minutes after a run. Anyone else having this issue, and a solution?

    4.10 has a severe bug. If you have a downloaded music app (e.g. Spotify), the native music player is not available anymore from the main menu. If you delete the downloaded apps, the native music player is reachable again. But it not working. There are some new music player icons (manage, shuffle etc), but where the Spotify icon would have been, there is a blank icon, which lets you select content to play (podcasts in my case), but then nothing happens (no sound played). Please fix asap!

    My APAC model 4.10 doesn't pair with zwift app ...

    I was waiting for 4.10 update for APAC region. Now I have it but watch is messed up after update. GPS stopped working (never connects in open field). Sync acting strange and getting reset. How can it create so many issues and still getting rolled out? 

    Update:

    Next day, it took long time to connect to GPS but connected. Yesterdays steps data frozen. Today looks better.
