FR 245 purchased a week ago drops heart rate during exercise, HR sticks at random values while exercising indoors, like 92 for a while then a leap to 130 where it sticks again. Nearly killed myself 2 days ago before I realized that it was hung at 110 while I was trying to get my heart to zone 4.
The stress and body battery functions also seem defective. For several days it has read my BB at about 18 to 20, seemed strange since I rested yesterday. Sleep showed very little recovery. The only advice I could find online suggested a hard reset and also disconnecting the connect app on my phone. Did both. After reset my BB says 78. The stress meter had me maximally stressed while I was asleep last night. After reset it shows relaxation.
The problem for me is that I'm 68 with unclear cardiac condition and I'm trying to get in shape. Having something this flaky is not helpful and is, for me, potentially harmful.
Is resetting a thing? Do I need to hard reset every day before exercise and before going to bed in order to remove confusion from software? Is this as good as it gets? Because if it is, the watch is going back and I'll just stop and take my pulse when I work out.
