Steps to reproduce:
- Open Garmin connect
- Select watch, open user setting, open heart rate zones
- Make a note of the upper limit of each zone
- Create a running workout with an heart rate intensity target (For instance zone 2)
- Send workout to watch
- Start workout on watch
Expected behaviour:
If upper limit of Zone 2 is 144 BPM then when heart rate reaches 145 then there will be an alert triggered.
Actual behaviour:
If upper limit of Zone 2 is 144 BPM then when heart rate reaches 146 there will be an alert. This is frustrating because if my heart rate is 145 BPM then I am in Zone 3 but I am not aware of it until my heart rate reaches 146 BPM. I know this might seem like a trivial point however it means that a large proportion of my run is spent in the wrong zone.
I am using version 4.00 on the watch.
I would report this via support chat however after waiting for over an hour to connect I gave up!
