HR measurement inaccurate

I updated my FR245 to v3.70 in the last week. After the update, for a couple of days, everything was working fine. However, since yesterday, resting HR is showing very high, mostly in the range of 90 to 110 bpm when it should be showing 60-65 bpm. Also sometimes the Abnormal Heart Rate alarm starts ringing. Sensor Hub version is 2.6.

Although the Sensor Hub version on my watch is 3.20, I am experiencing the same. HR peaks up to levels of even 150+ bpm, while doing an easy walk. When I check my HR on my pulse, it 's only 90-ish.

Also, it can get 'stuck' on a certain level and measures the same HR (yesterday 71) for almost an hour.

I restarted my FR245 and now it seems to be showing the correct HR for now. I will have to check the HRM during my run to see if the issue has been really resolved. You can try the same.

Where on your arm are you wearing your watch? Ensure it's well above the wrist bone, per this page in the manual: https://www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/forerunner245/EN-US/GUID-F2E7E0A9-FB44-4297-BF4D-D0C31C400C45.html

I've found the closer I wear a Forerunner to my wrist, the less accurate the readings.
