  • Added Pilates
  • Various fixes and improvements

Installation Instructions

  1. Connect your Forerunner 245 Music to your computer using the USB cable.
  2. Download and unzip Forerunner245M_377Beta.zip. Place the GUPDATE.GCD file in the \GARMIN folder of your device's internal storage drive.
  3. In Forerunner245M_377Beta, go to the RemoteSW folder. Place the GUP3205.GCD and GUP3079.GCD file in the \GARMIN\REMOTESW folder of your device's internal storage drive.
  4. Disconnect your device from the computer, approve the update on the watch, and wait for the update to finish.
  5. If you would like to revert to the last public release software, place the GUPDATE-370.GCD file in the \GARMIN folder. Rename GUPDATE-370.GCD to GUPDATE.GCD before disconnecting your device. To revert the RemoteSW, place the GUP3205-430.GCD and GUP3079-260.GCD files from RemoteSW\Downgrades in the \GARMIN\REMOTESW folder. NOTE: If you revert to an older version of software, all of your settings will be reset to defaults.
  • Well, 3.70 didn't have much of a life.  Interesting that there are separate versions for the 245 and 245M. Was that always the case?  3.52 and 3.70 caused me problems with random reboots and sensors not working properly.  Any clue if this will fix any of that?  Specifically, the Body Battery would flat-line after 5-7 days and would not come back.  Sometimes finishing an activity would cause the watch to crash and reboot.

  • Excited to see if this will finally, once and for all, fix the treadmill calibration issues. Here's to hoping.

  • Please SWIM OUTDOOR! Is one of the most sport we need on this Garmin... we have the needed sensor for that. is only software. Please, add in.

Why is Pilates needed as an activity type when yoga is already there, where is the workout type for martial arts? Hydration widget would have been more useful than respiration to be honest.

Will you release an APAC version of this beta firmware? I'd love to try it as the treadmill calibration issue is really painful for me. I'm feeling pretty burned by unwittingly buying an APAC region watch.
