Music scan after My Music upload is unreliable, only seeing 1/5th of the songs, but they're all there.

I'm using MTP to transfer songs.

I transferred 666 songs and an m3u playlist with all of them.

They all show up and are visible in MTP!  The computer sees them all in the Music directory.

But when I load the playlist on the watch, it says "123 songs".

They are all encoded the same way with similar titles.

Somehow the watch is not scanning new files correctly when the computer disconnects.

Is there a way to force it to look at the files?

  • Follow-up #1:

I deleted ALL files from the /Primary/Music directory.

There are no .mp3 or .m3u files left on the device.

It *still sees the playlists* and *still sees the (now unplayable) subset of the songs*!

I am completely confused as to how to actually add _or_ delete music or playlists from My Music!

It seems to randomly sometimes see some subset of additions and deletions, inconsistently.

  • Now I tried it where it got a timeout at some point in transfer, and afterwards the watch thinks "there is no music" even though there are 3gigs of MP3s on the watch... Help?
