non saved activity lowered my VO2Max score. why?

Hi

I went on a run with a friend in a much lower pace then i use to. during the very easy run i could see that the watch is showing that my heart rate is reaching 95% and staying there. that was very far from my true heart rate which was much lower. when i finished the run i choose to discard it as i didn't want it to be registered and ruin my VO2MAX score. but it did....

it was lowered by 2 points and i worked hard in the last month to get it up by one point....

how can i get my VO2MAX score from yesterday back?

how can this be avoided next time?

br, N

  • Remember VO2Max is an indication of fitness but if it gets bad data in then it doesn’t mean you are less fit of the score goes down! If you get the HR data as good then the score will go back up. I’m guessing you didn’t have the watch tight enough and that gave a bad reading, so may sure the watch is tight and slightly above the wrist bone.

by the way, but not saving the run that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen right, I’m guessing the watch is constantly measuring you, hence the VO2Max change. It’s just a number!
