Why Does Garmin Reduce The Build Quality ?

That’s my 3rd Garmin, my previous watch was Vivoactive 3. It had stainless steel bezel and stainless steel rear cover. But Forerunner 245 and most of the newer models are mainly made of  plastic. Garmin loses my reputation. Even Huawei and Xiaomi watches have far better build quality and that pisses me off. I’m thinking of selling my watch just because of that. For instance, Huawei Watch GT 2 has way better material.

  • Metal isn't necessarily better. It looks nice, but it's heavy and it interferes with wireless signals. Also, the forerunner series have always been plastic.

  • I don't mind that is plastic, but issues like sticky buttons, broken strap mount, dead pixels on the display, basic issues with the software etc associate me to bad quality...

I have the 310xt as well which I have used for many years and I have found nothing problematic with it, still long lasting battery, no hardware no software issues.
