wifi error 0200 FR245M. Cannot download spotify playlists

I can connect to wifi network, however i cannot download any song on spotify. I used three different WIFI networks, re installed spotify, on/off FR 245M, change/ updated the password, nothing works. I can listen to music downloaded via garmin express, but no spotify at all... any solution?

  • JP what worked for me (finally) was connecting the watch directly to my phone's wifi hotspot THEN updating.

    Similar issue, had been working, then moved broadband to Vodafone (Uk), their supplied router was the issue, the watch had a wobbly connection to it and could not update.

    Switched router to a billion one, all working fine.

    So really do try alternate networks, or if it was working then stopped, did you change your broadband (and router) at the same time.

    It's June 2020 and I am having this same issue. I bought this watch to listen to music and run. Very disappointed.

    Hi I have just bought a new Garmin Fenix 5 plus and I am having this issue can’t download music from my Spotify to watch I can get Spotify on watch but error code and won’t connect to WiFi when downloading a playlist? Why is this ? Is there a fix?

    Did anyone ever get a fix for this? I bought a new Fenix 5S today and have this problem, even after an update

  • I have 7 Wi-Fi devices connected without issues. The only device that refuses is the FR245M. I hope Garmin release a fix (firmware update?) for this.

    Hi Just received a new Garmin Forerunner 245 Music today and I am receiving the same error 0200. Connects to the network enough to display my spotify playlists, but then will not connect to the network to download them. Have done a hard reset and updated to the latest version. Tried connecting from my home network and phone hotspot.
