wifi error 0200 FR245M. Cannot download spotify playlists

I can connect to wifi network, however i cannot download any song on spotify. I used three different WIFI networks, re installed spotify, on/off FR 245M, change/ updated the password, nothing works. I can listen to music downloaded via garmin express, but no spotify at all... any solution?

  • same problem with my Fenix 6x

can Garmin give us more information? (wbat is the problem and when will it be solved estimately)

  • Today I synced the watch through Garmin Express on my Mac en the Spotify app was updated. So I tried again to download a Spotify playlist, but  unfortunately this same error code as usual... I guess we have to wait for the Garmin software update

  • Same issue. When I do update downloads nothing happens and then the second time i try the watch crashes and reboots.

My wife and I just bought Fenix 6X and Venu but both have the same issue. We are going to give them both back and buy Fitbits

  • Former Member Does the software fix that you're working on also address the issue which occurs when attempting to use "Update downloads" function within Spotify app? I started having this issue right after updating Spotify to version 1.3.17, and everything was perfectly fine on the previous version (1.3.16, I believe).

When selecting "Update downloads" the watch reboots (displays a triangle icon, same as when powering the watch on) and will start syncing playlists only after the reboot has finished (this wasn't the case in the previous version of Spotify, it just started syncing straight away with no restart of the watch). Also, sometimes selecting "Update downloads" doesn't do anything at all and if you exit Spotify app then, the watch is stuck on a white screen and your only way out is to force power off.

I have a video of the watch rebooting if you'd like me to share that and if it helps diagnosing the issue further.

I spoke to AU/NZ helpdesk today and they asked me to do standard troubleshooting (I've already uninstalled/reinstalled Spotify app, they wanted me to do a factory reset of the watch). However, seeing that this is a widespread issue, I thought I'd ask here first as I'm not keen on doing a hard reset (the watch works perfectly fine in every other respect).

Have a look at Spotify app reviews in Garmin Connect IQ store from the last few days, it seems there is A LOT of people having the same problem.

I have actually never got the WiFi error 0200 myself, only experiencing the issue with "Update downloads" function.

    1. A brand new watch, syncing with phone works, connecting to WI-FI works, but downloading playlists does not with a 0200 message

    2. Using a home network

    3. Did not try, but all other appliances work fine on this WIFI network.

    4. SW Version 3.10 (e64de37) but 3.0.0 also failed with same message

I kind of bought this watch so I could listen to my Spotify playlists during my runs, so this feature not working is somewhat of a rip-off. I would be very interested in hearing by when this can be resolved, otherwise I will return the watch.
