Advice for designing a workout for a 10k race

I’ve even following one of the Garmin coach plans for 10k. It says that is very likely to accomplish my time objective.

For the race day there is no workout planed. Just race. As pace pro is not available for my 245, is there any public plans I can follow or any advice?

I understand I can follow a predefined pace, but this pace could be altered by a very crowded start so maybe you have to do an incremental approach. Moreover it could be interesting to have a screen with fields that give you pace during current lap and similar stuff.

Thanks!

  • There are 2 options.

1.Get dozen run data field and insert distance for estimated time of finish.

    2. get the garmin virtual partner going for your pace goal or distance and time of finish

  • Hi,

Pace pro is available for 245M.  I assume as well for non music as it is a functionality of garmin connect, rather than the watch itself.

You can find racepro under training in Garmin connect.
