Forerunner 245 Series Beta 3.11 is available

The below information applies to both devices and the dedicated links are labeled. Installation instructions are provided within the download links.

Although this software is believed to be reliable, it has not yet been released for production and should be used at your own risk.

Changes made from version 3.10 to 3.11:

Bluetooth software update to address battery life issues that could occur on some devices
Minor change to support Bluetooth software update

All feedback is of course welcome and specific feedback from users who experienced excessive battery drain is especially valued.

When APAC devices are getting the updates? I have a APAC device with FW 2.80. Can I install this beta version in to that? Please suggest

I unfortunately cannot provide a timeline for the next APAC update. These involve additional development and operate on a separate timeline from this version.

36 hours on bluetooth, regular message notifications from phone (light + vibrations), 86% battery left. Positive update so far.

What is the point of buying this product and waiting so long time for update?

I don't understand why you sell APAC version in India. We use only English and none of the other languages in APAC model is not relevant to India. I also don't understand why it takes months to release the updates for APAC for the same device? If you are interested in India market, better do not sell. Let people buy from US. Or tell openly in India that you are interested in only selling devices and make money but not worried about customers in this region.

I think this would be my last Garmin device and will spread this Garmin's discrimination in our local running clubs.
