Notification unicode font problem

Hello all,

I just bought FR 245M in Canada and using English interface. However, some of my apps notify in Unicode font (more specifically, in Vietnamese), do not show correctly in the watch for not latin-character. 

I also have VivoActive 3 which is working fine with these kinds of notifications.

The FR245M I can not change to the Vietnamese language, however, the version sold in Vietnam market has Vietnamese language as far as I know.

Do you know how to fix or change the language of the FR245M to Vietnamese? I could not found Language file in Garmin Express > Utility (showing no file to install).

    the VivoActive 3 was bought in Canada as well and it is not APAC version but still displays notification well

    Hi HLP, bạn đã sửa được lỗi hiển thị tiếng Việt chưa, tôi có file tiếng Việt LN3 nhưng khi copy vào garmin vẫn không hiển thị đúng, tôi nghĩ vấn đề là ở fonts chữ trong firmware của đồng hồ. Thanks!

    Lỗi này do firmware, chính xác hơn thì là do font dùng mặc định trong firmware ko hỗ trợ tiếng Việt. Cách duy nhất có lẽ là yêu cầu Garmin nhúng font hỗ trợ tiếng Việt (Unicode). Đồng hồ bán ở châu Á và phần còn lại của thế giới về cơ bản là khác nhau về phần cứng, nên ko dùng lại firmware của nhau được.

    Oh... sao có thể khác nhau về phần cứng được nhỉ, tôi nghĩ là do bảo vệ thị trường nên không hỗ trợ ngôn ngữ cho đh mua ở thị trường khác (VD bán ở VN giá khá cao do thuế hoặc lý do gì đấy... so với mua xách tay về nếu cũng hỗ trợ tiếng Việt thì họ mua xách tay chứ mua hàng chính hãng trong nước làm gì). Nhà nhập khẩu và phân phối garmin ở VN thì đương nhiên họ từ chối hỗ trợ thiết bị mua từ nc ngoài về. Mình đang dùng 935 mua từ Úc và mỗi lần có tin nhắn về thì hiển thị ngôn ngữ vừa đọc vừa đoán :))). Thanks!

    Ban cho minh hoi, Garmin da fix loi font chu Tieng Viet cho FR245M cua ban chua a? Minh mua FR645M tu Amazon USA nen hien gio font chu Tieng Viet cung bi loi. Tim moi cach ma chua biet fix kieu gi. Tks.
