Is it possible to start an uploaded course and start a timer simultaneously?

I uploaded a course i prepared in Garmin Connect to my FR245M.

What I would like to do is to start navigating the uploaded course, but simultaneously (automatically) start a run timer.

Is this possible?

"but simultaneously (automatically) start a run timer." should say "AND simultaneously (automatically) start a run timer."
