Run & Walk Interval Workout

I am a new user of Garmin 245 Music.
Is there a way to set run/walk alert of distance and not time? Alternatively, is there a way to do an interval workout of X kilometers of running and Y kilometers of walking repeating the required number of times?

  • You can create a run/walk workout with each interval's duration based on distance or time. You can run X km, walk Y km (walk called "recover").  They don't have to be the same. you can run 1km, then walk 1 minute.  On the mobile app, hit the More tab (" ... ") then Training then Workouts.  Create a Run workout.  It will come up with a generic 3-step workout, but you'll want to hit the Add Repeat button and modify each step in the repeat to your run and walk targets. use the three-line handle to drag it between the Warm Up and Cool down in the default workout and erase the other steps.

  • Use the watch's Intervals function to setup run/walk alerts. Just hit Up after selecting Run, then choose Intervals and Edit the length/duration however you like.
