Yes. In the data field, under other you’ll find elevation. 

Is it possible to get total elevation gained? I can't seem to find that one.

Total elevation gained is available to Connect IQ apps / data fields. I would normally point you to a dedicated field for this, but it looks like the only one I know of hasn't been updated for 245.

Instead, you can install my data field AppBuilder 5 and use the following settings:

On devices without a baro, Ascent and Decent could be quite odd,  I've seen 400' when it was closer to 40')

I'm sure that's part of the reason there aren't native DF's for that.

For non baro devices, when an activity is uploaded to Garmin Connect, "elevation correction" is applied to the data to help things look better.

Kind of figured it wouldn't be the best data, but interesting to try it out anyhow. Still a bit annoyed that if you want a barometer your options are the outdated 645 of the huge step up to the 945.

It's possible, but since GPS altitude tracking is not reliable in any way it's not something you would really want to have there... It's better to wait until you sync your workout and check it out on Garmin Connect.
