Treadmill calibration and strava

Any idee why after calibrating the distance of a treadmill run on my garmin 245 the calibrated distance shown on GC but the incorrect distance shows up on strava. Any why to automatically send the corrected/calibrated distance to strava

I have the same issue and it's very disappointing. Just bought the watch yesterday. Another problem is that the data is not synchronized with Strava automatically (i have to manually upload it). Come on…

Hoping that Garmin can fix this. Huge disappointment to have bad TM distance sent to Strava. I immediately delete the Strava entry, create manual entry... but in doing so, lose a lot of good Garmin data (HR, cadence, calories, etc.). Please fix this, Garmin.

Any fix for this 3 year old issue? I've found out that after syncing my 245 with my phone, the distance is correctly displayed on Adidas Runtastic but still wrong on Strava.

Unfortunately this workaround does not work anymore. Once the activity is in Strava you can't upload the file because the activity remains the same and Strava returns an error "activity_10263097098-fixed-distance.tcx duplicate of activity 8354078716"

Why they don't fix this!! :/

Based on that message that I have seen plenty for various issues where I need to upload the activity....

You need to delete the old/original activity out of Strava. Then import the new edited file

I initially just built this for myself but others expressed interest so I scrapped this together in a few weeks, what are your privacy concerns? I only request access to write activities through the Strava API. I don’t get any data from Garmin. You’d have to download the tcx file from Garmin to upload to Strava.

Hi! Can you have the option of km's instead of miles?

I currently use the https://www.tcxtools.com/tcx/distance/

And it does the trip... only have to first calculate the scaling factor=Treadmill Run/Garmin Run
