The readings also seem very inaccurate to me. Usually you say that when SpO2 drops below 90% in the night, it's not good and can likely point to sleep apnea.
I hope they're able to improve these readings…
This is inaccurate, mine shows between 83% and 89% during sleeping and between 90 and 95% most of the time during awake. but medical oximeter shows between 97 and 99, I am using vivoactive 4 ,recently…
As Fer mentioned, pulse ox readings have to be taken with a grain of salt. But as Garmin refines the firmware for these new devices, perhaps numbers will become more accurate.
My night recordings average…
I have just bought a Garmin fenix 6 and with the latest update it meaures for me between 95% and 98% which seems about right. Obviously because only a few percentage points is the difference between health and illness they have to be accurate to be of any use.
I've some questions related the accuracy:
It's possible that the Pulse Oximeter accuracy depends on the firmware versios of the forerunner 245 or depends on quality of sensor? The accuracy problem is the same in other multisport watchs type? The firmware update 6.2 resolve the problem? My measured value is 90. Sometimes 97. Thank you
