'start' button color

When I initially bought the black 245 music, it came with the 'start' button colored in red. After a month something went wrong with the watch and the Garmin store sent me a new watch instead, but now the 'start' button is light blue. Is there a difference?

The button color matches strap color (look at photos on official product site). So it appears your new watch had a blue strap originally.

Aren't the colors customizable? Or is it only on some models?

For ervery music or non music version you have some color choices. On the Garmin webpage, you will see all types (music: white, light blue, red ; non music: gray, merlot).

He's talking about the LED light colour, you're talking about the strap colour.

The LED light colour can't be changed as far as I know, at least I couldn't find something in the manual, but maybe someone with the music variant can answer better. I have the non-music, so no LED light at all

This has nothing to do with LED colours. Its the actual button colour which 'matches' the strap. Blue button on blue strap and red button on black strap.
