I own my Forerunner since September 2024, at that time with firmware 19.xx the HR tracking during my runs worked pretty well.
After some update, I think starting from firmware 20.xx, every time I run the situation is like the one in the following screenshot
This is from a workout this morning. I run 7 x 1.000 mt each with a 2min of recovery between every reps.
I bought a nylon strap, wear the watch at least 2.5 cm from my wrist bone. I’m sure the watch was tight enough.
Last week I updated the firmware to 22.24, reset to default then reinstalled the software clicking 8 time the light button in menu-system page. I wanted to be sure to have a clean installation of the new firmware.
I think this is a clear example of cadence lock, my workout was cadence based, my objective is to run between a range of 170-180 step per minute and, as you can see from the image above, every section of the run phase the cadence and the HR are more or less the same value.
I'm not an experienced runner, always easy run (5:30-6:00/km), and I'm sure I wasn't running in zone 5!
