Unable to update software

My FR165 is currently running software version 21.19 (from 2nd Dec '24) and I see that there have been several updates made available since including 21.20 (18th Dec '24), 22.12 (13th Jan '25) and the most recent one 22.22 (18th Feb '25).

However, I am seemingly unable to update the software as both the watch and Garmin Connect both say that no updates are available.

Can anyone advise what the issue might and how to remedy it?

(Edit: I am in the UK, just in case there are regional factors to take into account)

Have you tried connecting using a cable to laptop/PC and Garmin Express?

Thanks for the suggestion but I only have Linux machines.

Anyone with any thoughts on this?

I raised a support request but, as S.M.R. also suggested, Garmin could only suggest trying Garmin Express and a cabled connection but I've only got Linux machines and it is Windows/Mac only.

The fact it is not working with Garmin Connect (or on the watch, but I guess that just uses Garmin Connect as a middle man?) just seemed to be met with a shrug of the shoulders, which was a little disappointing from the official support channel I must say!
