Forerunner 165 Music. Spotify set up and music downloaded, no problem. Unfortunately music cuts out briefly but often during playback. Don't think it's my buds as they are fine playing Spotify from my phone and computer.

I have the same problem.
Use soudcore p20i buds
It does not matter if i use the left or right bud.
First 5 minutes working fine. After that the drouputs start.
I'd say a week or so after I made this post the problem went away. I am not aware of anything I changed that repaired things, I'm afraid. So I'm good, but unfortunately can't help anybody else…

Exactly the same issue here and was both gutted and relieved to see this post. Wasn't aware that after spending extra on the music model I would then begin a while investigation into my headphones choices and potentially spend extra on a new set. It isn't mentioned enough how particular the Bluetooth in the watch is and how performance does differ between models, something mobile phones/MP3 players have no issues with. Soundcore p20i are useless after 10 mins giving you a false sense of "everything is perfect" as you set off. Other headphones I have cut in/out instantly. Really poor with absolutely no sign of fix or accountability from Garmin. No confirmation that any headset testing had been carried out or approved makes/models, just a tough luck attitude and refund available.
I hope to beg/borrow other headphones from family friends to perform extra testing before committing to new headphones. Until then the music feature is a non functional waste of money. All other parts of the watch are amazing.
