FR165 - Can't disable Til Sunset alert or enable Til Sunrise alert

Brand new Forerunner 165. Updated to latest firmware 21.19

A. Til Sunset alert is set to On and Time 10:00 by default. When trying to turn off this alert the setting is not persisting. The same behaviour occurs regardless of setting on the watch or the Connect app. Steps to reproduce as follows:

Settings > Notifications & Alerts > System Alerts > Time > Til Sunset
Toggle Status to Off
Back
Till Sunset still shows as 10:00 on the Time screen
Alert is still received at 10 mins before sunset

Expected behaviour:

Settings > Notifications & Alerts > System Alerts > Time > Til Sunset
Toggle Status to Off
Back
Till Sunset shows as Off on the Time screen
No alert is received

B. The Til Sunrise alert is set to Off by default. When trying to turn on this alert the setting is not persisting. The same behaviour occurs regardless of setting on the watch or the Connect app. Steps to reproduce:

Settings > Notifications & Alerts > System Alerts > Time > Til Sunrise
Toggle Status to On, no Time value is available to set
Back
Till Sunrise still shows as Off on the Time screen
No alert is received

Expected behaviour:

Settings > Notifications & Alerts > System Alerts > Time > Til Sunset
Toggle Status to On, set Time value to 10:00
Back
Till Sunrise shows as 10:00 on the Time screen
An alert is received at 10 mins before Sunrise

After some further experimentation, I was able to at least set both alerts to off by doing a System > Reset > Reset Default Settings.

Then tried to enable again to see if that's fully resolved the issue and found that toggling on Til Sunset actually set Til Sunrise alert on instead. Definitely something messed up with these alerts.

Reset Default Settings again and will be leaving these off permanently from now on. Anyone else had these working properly?

Hi I'm experiencing the same issue, also a brand new FR 165 updated to the latest firmware right away, I have filed a support request with Garmin tech support, this looks like a bug.

I will expect them to fix it in future firmware release.

Yep also 255 with latest up date can not adjust time is missing from sunset. Always defaults to off after setting and pressing back button.

Also alert not set able on 255 with latest up date turn on sunrise alert time not available and reverting back to off when back button pressed.
