Forerunner 165 - Software Version 21.19: Undocumented changes

I've noticed a few undocumented changes in the latest 21.19 firmware.

- Clocks now have accent colours e.g. the background colour of the countdown timer is red, stopwatch is green, etc. Makes it easier to ditinguish which clock app you are currently in

- Heart rate glance now has a plot of the last 4 hours of heart rate data (in the list of glances)

- Shortcut to toggle Touch is green when enabled (was grey). Much easier to see whether touch is on or off.

Reply if you've found any other undocumented changes!

  • Probably documented as "fixes and improvements' Stuck out tongue

How long did the update take to install? Any issues so far? Thanks Slight smile

I'm on 20.32 and the timer has a cyan background accent, but the stopwatch doesn't have one. Ideally I'd like to be able to choose if the accent is shown as I'd probably prefer a plain black background, although I can see the usefulness of the accent.

  • There is add an temperature graphic to the graphic list in the activity overview . But I can't see witch temperature it is body or air temperature. And how it's measured.

I want to put an printscreen as example but it doesn't work when I want to add it

  • I raised a thread recently about it. It is 'watch temperature' which unfortunately, and to be fair unavoidably, means a combination of both body *and* air temperature. Not sure what its purpose is really given this, although it is required as to support the barometer in determining altitude. It might work reasonably well when swimming too if the surrounding water becomes the dominant heat conductor.

I have a support ticket currently open in relation to it as there's meant to be a setting to enable/disable the recording of temperature in the activity file. It is mentioned in the FR165 manual and also present on other watch models but appears to be missing here.
