I purchased a Garmin Forerunner 165 two weeks ago. I'm still learning how to use it - and the app too. I've been watching the Body Battery measurement each day and am fascinated by it. I'm the type of person that likes to have a daily goal. When I initially had my Fitbit Versa 4, I used it to measure my steps at first. I aimed for 10,000 steps per day. Shortly after, I aimed for 20,000 per day. After about a year, I aimed for 35,000. At that point, I switched by goal to Activity Zone Minutes on the Fitbit.......and finally, Calories Burned. I really like to look at the watch face and see how I'm doing on a certain statistic - with my Fitbit, I could instantly see Activity Zone Minutes. With my new Garmin, I can see two things on it right on the face - steps and Body Battery. I don't care as much about steps as I once did......but I do like to look at Body Battery. I'm wondering, is it "okay" to try to get to "5" each day on the Body Battery? What I mean is, can it be used as an exercise goal each day? I normally wake up with a Body Battery around 85-88. In order for me to get to 5 by the end of the day, I need to be pretty active - walking, hiking, running, bicycling, playing with my young daughter in the front yard, playing pickleball, working out in the gym and/or a whole host of activities during the day. Is it okay to get to 5 each day? Or is that considered to be.....not a good idea.
